Privacy Policy for PDF Toolkit: All-in-One
Effective date: 6 August 2026
Last updated: 6 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Toolkit: All-in-One handles information when you use the Android mobile application.
PDF Toolkit: All-in-One is provided by iCorp Overseas Consulting Private Limited under the Need Any Tool brand. Need Any Tool is the Google Play developer name. Website: https://needanytool.com
This policy applies only to the PDF Toolkit: All-in-One mobile application. The Need Any Tool website at https://needanytool.com may have a separate privacy policy covering information collected through the website.
1. Our privacy approach
PDF Toolkit: All-in-One is designed to process PDF documents locally on your device.
The initial version of the app:
- Does not require account registration or login.
- Does not upload your documents to our servers.
- Does not use a custom backend or cloud database.
- Does not display advertisements.
- Does not include paid, Premium, or subscription features.
- Does not use advertising, behavioural analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs.
- Does not include third-party crash-reporting SDKs.
- Does not sell or rent user information.
2. Information accessed by the app
The app may access the following information only when required for a feature selected by you.
Documents and files
When you choose a PDF, image, or another supported file, the app accesses only the file or files that you select.
These files may be used for operations such as:
- Merging PDFs
- Splitting PDFs
- Extracting or deleting pages
- Reordering or rotating pages
- Compressing PDFs
- Converting images or text to PDF, and PDF pages to images
- Adding watermarks or page numbers
- Protecting or unlocking authorised PDFs
- Visually signing documents
- Creating PDFs from images or text
- Filling existing PDF form fields on your device
Your selected documents are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.
Images and photos
When you use an image-related feature, such as Images to PDF, the app may ask you to select one or more images.
The app accesses only the images that you choose. It does not access your entire photo library unless you explicitly grant such access through your device settings.
Camera
The app may request camera permission when you use a document-scanning feature.
Camera access is used only to capture documents selected by you. Captured images and generated PDFs are processed and stored locally on your device. Scanned PDFs in this version are image-based and are not converted to searchable text (OCR).
The app does not use the camera in the background.
Passwords
When you enter a password to protect or unlock an authorised PDF:
- The password is used only to perform the requested operation.
- The password is not uploaded to us.
- The password is not stored in app history.
- The password is not included in analytics or logs.
You must use password-removal or unlocking features only for documents that you own or are authorised to access.
Signatures
If the app allows you to draw, type, import, or save a signature:
- Signatures are visual stamps only. They are not certificate-based or cryptographic digital signatures.
- The signature is stored locally on your device when you choose to save it.
- It is used only when you choose to place it on a document.
- It is not uploaded to our servers.
- You may delete saved signatures from the app where this option is available.
3. Locally stored information
The app may store limited information locally to provide its features, including:
- Recently opened or generated document history
- Local file references
- Output file names
- App preferences
- Theme settings
- Saved visual signatures, if enabled by you
- Temporary processing files
This information remains on your device and is not sent to us.
You can remove locally stored history and temporary information through the app's available cleanup options, your Android application settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Files that you deliberately save to Downloads, Documents, or another shared location are controlled by you and may remain on your device after the app is uninstalled.
4. Temporary files
The app may create temporary files while processing or previewing documents.
Temporary files are used only to complete the operation selected by you. The app is designed to remove temporary files when they are no longer required, although some files may remain temporarily if an operation is interrupted or the app closes unexpectedly.
You may clear the app's cache through your Android device settings.
5. Data collection and sharing
Based on the functionality of the initial version, we do not collect or share personal data through the app.
In particular, we do not receive:
- The contents of your documents
- Document file names or local paths
- Extracted document text
- Scanned document images
- PDF passwords
- Signatures
- Form values
- Contacts
- Precise location
- Financial information
- Health information
- Advertising identifiers
We do not sell personal or sensitive information.
6. User-initiated sharing
The app may allow you to share an output file using Android's system sharing options.
When you choose to share a document:
- You decide which file to share.
- You select the receiving application or person.
- The transfer is initiated by you.
- We do not receive a copy of the shared document.
After a file is transferred to another application or service, that third party's privacy policy and data-handling practices apply.
7. Third-party services
The initial version of PDF Toolkit: All-in-One does not intentionally include:
- Advertising SDKs
- Behavioural analytics SDKs
- Third-party crash-reporting SDKs
- Social-login services
- Cloud document-processing services
- Payment or subscription services
Google Play and the Android operating system may process installation, device, security, and diagnostic information independently under Google's own terms and privacy policies.
If third-party services are added to the app in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety declaration will be updated before or when those services are introduced.
8. Permissions
The app requests permissions only when they are needed for a feature you choose to use.
Permissions may include:
Camera permission
Used only for scanning or photographing documents. The app does not use the camera in the background.
Photos / media library permission
Used when you choose an image-related feature (for example Images to PDF, image watermark, or importing a signature image). On supported Android versions, the app uses the system photo picker so you can select specific images. The app does not upload your photos.
File access and saving
Used to open PDFs and other supported files you select, and to save generated output where you choose.
- Opening files: where supported, the app uses Android's system document picker (Storage Access Framework) so you select specific files. The app does not scan or browse your entire device storage on its own.
- Saving files: where supported, the app uses Android's system folder/file picker so you choose where to save exported documents.
- Older Android versions: the app may declare storage-related permissions (such as read or write external storage) for compatibility when opening or saving files. Even when those permissions are present, the app is designed to work with user-selected files and folders rather than unrestricted bulk access to all personal files.
You may deny or revoke permissions through your Android device settings. Some related features may not work without the required permission.
9. Data security
We take reasonable steps to reduce privacy and security risks, including:
- Processing documents locally where technically possible
- Limiting access to user-selected files
- Avoiding unnecessary data collection
- Avoiding the storage of document passwords
- Protecting original documents from being overwritten by default
- Using temporary files for processing where appropriate
However, no application or storage system can guarantee absolute security. You should keep backups of important documents and protect access to your device.
10. Data retention and deletion
Because the app does not use user accounts or a remote database, we do not maintain an online user profile that requires an account-deletion request.
Local information remains on your device until one of the following occurs:
- You delete a file or history item.
- You clear the app's cache or storage.
- The app removes temporary files.
- You uninstall the app.
Documents saved by you outside the app's private storage must be deleted manually using the app, Android file manager, or another file-management application.
11. Children's privacy
PDF Toolkit: All-in-One is a general productivity application and is not specifically designed or directed toward children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because the app does not require accounts and does not transmit user documents to us, we do not knowingly maintain personal information belonging to children.
12. International data transfers
The app does not transmit user-selected documents or locally stored history to our servers. Therefore, the initial version does not perform international transfers of those documents or local app data.
A third-party application selected by you for sharing may transfer information according to its own policies.
13. Your choices and controls
You can:
- Choose which documents and images the app can access.
- Decline camera or file-related permissions.
- Remove recent-file history where supported.
- Delete locally generated documents.
- Delete saved signatures where supported.
- Clear the app's cache or storage through Android settings.
- Uninstall the app to remove information stored in its private application storage.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when:
- App functionality changes
- Advertisements are introduced
- Premium or subscription features are introduced
- Analytics or crash-reporting tools are added
- Cloud or server-based processing is introduced
- Legal or regulatory requirements change
When the policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed.
Material changes will be communicated through the app or its Google Play listing where appropriate.
