Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. All image processing runs entirely in your browser on your device. Your files are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any server.

What is EXIF data in a photo?

EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) metadata records how a photo was captured — camera, lens, exposure, date, and sometimes GPS coordinates.

Can people see my location from EXIF?

If GPS tagging was enabled, coordinates may reveal where the photo was taken. Remove metadata before posting publicly if privacy matters.

Does screenshotting remove EXIF?

Screenshots typically do not carry over original camera EXIF. They may contain their own creation timestamp depending on the device.

Why does my edited photo show two different dates?

EXIF may retain original capture time while file system dates reflect editing. Both fields are shown when present.

Do PNG files have EXIF?

PNG uses different metadata chunks and may lack full EXIF. JPEG and TIFF from cameras are richest for technical tags.

How do I remove EXIF before emailing photos?

Re-save through Compress or Convert, or use export options that strip metadata. Verify here afterward that sensitive tags are gone.
