Remove EXIF Metadata Before You Share
EXIF can include camera model, capture date, and sometimes GPS coordinates. NeedAnyTool processes files entirely on-device — nothing is uploaded to a server. Use the EXIF Viewer to inspect metadata, then export a stripped copy.
What EXIF can reveal
Exchangeable image file format (EXIF) metadata is embedded by phones and cameras. It is invisible in the image itself but readable by many apps and websites.
- Device and lens information
- Date and time the photo was taken
- GPS location (when location services were enabled)
When to strip metadata
Strip EXIF before posting publicly, sending to strangers, or uploading to forums when location or device details matter.
How to remove EXIF with NeedAnyTool
Open the EXIF Viewer, review the fields shown, then download the stripped export. Re-compressing in the Compress tool may also drop some metadata depending on format — verify with the viewer if unsure.
