Frequently asked questions

Does a trailing newline add a line?

Yes. If the paste ends with a newline, that empty line is included in the total — matching typical editor line counts.

Can I ignore blank lines?

The non-empty total is the count with blanks excluded. Use that when you only care about content rows.

Is line counting uploaded?

No. Counts are computed in your browser only.
