- What YAML features are supported?
- Common indented maps, lists, nested structures, and scalar values including strings, numbers, booleans, and null. Anchors, aliases, custom tags, multi-document streams, and complex flow styles may be rejected with a clear error rather than a wrong result.
- Can it convert JSON back to YAML?
- Yes. Switch the direction to JSON → YAML. Keys and strings that would otherwise be ambiguous — such as the words true, false, or null, or anything that looks like a number — are quoted so the YAML round-trips correctly.
- Why does my YAML fail to parse?
- Almost always indentation. YAML uses spaces, never tabs, and every item at the same level must line up. Mixed indentation and a missing space after a colon are the two most common causes.
- Is YAML a superset of JSON?
