- Which unit categories are supported?
- 28 categories, including length, mass/weight, temperature, area, volume, speed, time, data size, data transfer rate, energy, pressure, power, force, torque, frequency, density, fuel economy, angle, acceleration, current, voltage, resistance, cooking volume and weight, typography, screen size, land and property, and gold/jewellery measures. Pick a category first, then the from and to units.
- How is temperature converted?
- With the correct °C / °F / K / °R formulas rather than a single multiplier, because those scales have different zero points. 0 °C converts to 32 °F and 273.15 K, and 100 °C to 212 °F.
- Are data sizes decimal or binary?
- Both are available: KB/MB/GB on the 1000 base that drive manufacturers use, and KiB/MiB/GiB on the 1024 base that operating systems report. That gap is why a "1 TB" drive shows as roughly 931 GiB.
- Does it convert currency?
- No. Exchange rates change by the minute and would need a live feed, so NeedAnyTool deliberately leaves currency out rather than showing a stale number.
- Can I convert cooking or land measures?
- Yes. Cooking volume covers teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, millilitres, and fluid ounces, and cooking weight covers grams, kilograms, ounces, and pounds. Land and property includes acres, hectares, cents, and grounds; jewellery includes grams, tolas, and sovereigns.
- Is the Unit Converter free and private?
- Yes. Conversion runs in your browser with NeedAnyTool — no sign-up and no upload of your values.
- Is my input uploaded?
- No. Conversion runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to a NeedAnyTool server for these tools.
