An array of objects, such as [{"id":1,"name":"Ada"}]. A single object is also accepted and becomes one row. Arrays of plain values or nested arrays at the top level are rejected with a clear message.
How are the CSV columns chosen?
From the union of keys across all rows, in the order each key is first seen. Rows that are missing a key get an empty cell, so records with different fields still line up.
Does it support nested JSON?
Nested objects and arrays are written as JSON strings inside CSV cells, so structure is preserved rather than silently dropped. CSV is a flat format, so there is no way to expand them into real columns automatically.
What about commas or quotes inside a value?
Any value containing a comma, double quote, or line break is wrapped in quotes, and inner quotes are doubled — the standard CSV escaping that Excel, Sheets, and Numbers expect.
How are null and missing values written?
As empty cells. The column stays in place so the row keeps its alignment.
