- Does my data get uploaded?
- No. Payload text is encoded locally in your browser. We do not receive the contents of your QR codes.
- Do these QR codes expire or need a subscription?
- No. Every code here is static: the data is encoded directly into the pattern, so it keeps working forever with no redirect service behind it. The trade-off is that you cannot edit the destination later or see scan statistics — regenerate the code if the details change.
- Can I print the QR code?
- Yes. Download the PNG and print at a size large enough for scanners to read comfortably — typically at least 2–3 cm on each side for simple payloads. The exported PNG is 280 pixels square, which is fine for small labels and on-screen use; scale it up in your design tool for posters and keep the light margin around the code intact.
- Can I add a logo to the QR code?
- Not here. This generator exports a plain two-colour QR code with no logo overlay. If you need a branded centre mark, place it yourself in a design tool over a code generated at error-correction level H, then test the result with several phones.
- Can I change where the QR code points later?
- No. The link is baked into the pattern, so editing the destination means generating a new code. If you expect the target to move, point the QR at a URL you control — such as a short link or a page you can redirect — and change the redirect instead of reprinting.
- Do I need to include https:// in the URL?
- Typing example.com is enough — it is normalised to an https address. Enter the full URL if you need http, a specific path, or query parameters preserved exactly.
