Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Unit Converter Toolkit handles information when you use the Unit Converter Toolkit mobile application (package name: com.needanytool.unitconvertertoolkit). Unit Converter Toolkit is provided by iCorp Overseas Consulting Private Limited under the Need Any Tool brand. Need Any Tool is the Google Play developer name. Website: https://needanytool.com. Contact: icorpplaystore@gmail.com. This policy applies only to the Unit Converter Toolkit mobile app. The Need Any Tool website at https://needanytool.com may have a separate privacy policy covering information collected through the website.
Our privacy approach
Unit Converter Toolkit is designed as an offline-first unit converter. Conversions, smart search, multi-result boards, favourites, pins, history, presets, and developer-style converters run locally on your device. The app does not require account registration or login; does not upload your conversion values or saved pairs to our servers; does not use a custom backend or cloud database for conversions; does not display advertisements in the current version; does not include paid, Premium, or subscription features in the current version; does not use advertising, behavioural analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs; does not include third-party crash-reporting SDKs; and does not sell or rent user information.
Information processed on your device
To provide converter features, the app processes data locally on your device. This may include conversion inputs and results you enter, favourites, pinned pairs, history, presets, theme and precision preferences, preferred measurement system, onboarding state, From→To learning map, and optional daily tip notification preferences. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to Need Any Tool.
Local storage
Unit Converter Toolkit stores preferences and saved converter data in on-device storage (for example AsyncStorage / app private storage). You can clear history, reset learning, or change preferences in Settings, clear app data through your device settings, or uninstall the app to remove information stored in its private application storage.
Notifications
If you enable daily conversion tips, Unit Converter Toolkit may schedule local notifications on your device using the operating system notification APIs. Tip content is selected and scheduled on-device. In the current version, Unit Converter Toolkit does not use a remote push-notification server operated by Need Any Tool to send marketing or behavioural messages. You can disable daily tips in Settings or revoke notification permission in your device settings.
User-initiated sharing
The app may let you copy or share conversion results, or share a link to the app, using your device’s system share sheet or similar OS features. When you choose to share: you decide what to share, you select the receiving app or person, and the transfer is initiated by you. Need Any Tool does not receive a copy of shared content unless you deliberately send it to us (for example by emailing support). After content leaves Unit Converter Toolkit, the receiving app’s privacy policy applies.
Permissions
Unit Converter Toolkit requests permissions only when needed for a feature you use. Notification permission may be requested if you enable daily conversion tips. Haptics use standard device APIs for in-app feedback and do not grant Need Any Tool access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location. You may deny or revoke permissions in device settings; some related features may not work without the required permission. Core offline conversion does not require an internet connection.
Data we do not collect
Based on the current version of Unit Converter Toolkit, we do not collect or receive through the app: the contents of your conversions; favourites or history; contacts; precise location; financial information; health information; advertising identifiers for ad targeting; or biometric data. We do not sell personal or sensitive information. Live currency / FX rates are not part of this app.
Third-party services and app stores
The current version of Unit Converter Toolkit does not intentionally include advertising SDKs, behavioural analytics SDKs, third-party crash-reporting SDKs, social-login services, cloud sync, or payment / subscription services. Google Play, Apple App Store (if distributed there), and the mobile operating system may process installation, device, security, and diagnostic information independently under Google’s, Apple’s, and the OS provider’s own terms and privacy policies. If you rate the app, the store review flow is operated by the store. If third-party services are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the store Data Safety / privacy nutrition labels will be updated before or when those services are introduced.
Children’s privacy
Unit Converter Toolkit is a general utility application and is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not require accounts and does not transmit conversion data to us, we do not knowingly maintain personal information belonging to children.
International data transfers
The app does not transmit your local conversions, favourites, or history to Need Any Tool servers. Therefore the current version does not perform international transfers of that on-device converter data to us. A third-party app you choose for sharing may transfer information according to its own policies.
Data retention and deletion
Because Unit Converter Toolkit does not use user accounts or a remote database operated by us, we do not maintain an online user profile that requires an account-deletion request. Local information remains on your device until you delete it in the app (where available), clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app.
Your choices and controls
You can convert without creating an account; choose whether to enable daily tip notifications; clear history or reset learning in Settings; clear app storage in device settings; and uninstall the app to remove private application storage.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to reduce privacy risk by processing conversions locally, avoiding unnecessary collection, and not operating a cloud account system for this app. No device storage system can guarantee absolute security. Protect access to your device.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s features or data practices change. When the policy is updated, the “Last updated” date on this page will change. Material changes will be communicated through the app or its store listing where appropriate.
