Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using Chess Crown (by Need Any Tool), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Description of Service
Chess Crown provides offline and on-device chess features, which may include play against Stockfish AI at multiple difficulty levels, pass-and-play (two players on one device), tactical puzzles, local rating and progression, post-game analysis, and PGN import/export or sharing via the system share sheet. Features shown in the app may change as we improve the product. The current version does not require an account and does not provide online multiplayer matchmaking operated by Need Any Tool.
Eligibility and acceptable use
You agree to use Chess Crown only for lawful purposes. Do not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt its operation, or use it in ways that violate applicable laws. You are responsible for content you import, export, or share (for example PGN files).
Open-source components
Chess Crown includes third-party open-source components (including Stockfish under GPLv3 and other libraries described in the app notices). Those components remain subject to their respective licenses. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under those open-source licenses with respect to the licensed components themselves.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including uninterrupted availability, engine strength for every position, puzzle difficulty accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose (including competitive tournament preparation). Chess analysis and ratings are informational aids only.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any data loss, device issues, or damages arising from use of the app. Always keep backups of important exported games if you need them outside the app.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date on this page will change when terms are revised.
