Operator

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the SpeakReady mobile application (Play Store title: SpeakReady: AI English Tutor; Android package: com.needanytool.aienglishtutor) and related hosted pages for account deletion (together, the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Privacy Policy at https://needanytool.com/speakready/legal/privacy explains how information is handled. The Service is provided by iCorp Overseas Consulting Private Limited under the Need Any Tool brand. Contact: icorpplaystore@gmail.com. “We”, “us”, and “our” mean that operator. “You” means the person using the Service.

The Service

SpeakReady is a personal English-practice tool. It may include:

• bundled lessons, quizzes, vocabulary, and local progress
• Pronunciation Lab using transcript / text matching (not phoneme-level accent analysis)
• optional cloud AI coach, mock interview, and workplace roleplay for signed-in users
• optional daily reminders
• optional paid SpeakReady Plus subscription
• banner advertising for users without an active Plus entitlement

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Cloud AI, sync, reporting, and account deletion work only when the backend is configured and deployed.

Eligibility and accounts

Account and eligibility rules:

1. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country and at least 13 years old (or the higher age required where you live).
2. You may use guest / offline features without an account.
3. Cloud AI, cloud sync, content reporting to the server, and cloud account deletion require a registered account and a working backend.
4. You are responsible for your email, password, and device security. Notify us if you believe your account is compromised.
5. One person should not create accounts solely to bypass daily AI usage limits.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service to harass, threaten, defraud, or exploit anyone
• submit illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative content
• try to break into the Service, scrape it abusively, or overload AI endpoints
• reverse-engineer the App except where a law allows it
• share your password or impersonate another person
• use practice sessions to submit other people’s confidential data without permission
• claim AI output as an official exam score, visa result, or employer assessment
• resell access or automate requests in a way that evades usage limits

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules, after or without notice where we reasonably believe there is abuse or legal risk.

Your practice content

You keep any rights you already have in the words you type or speak. You grant us a limited licence to process that content so we can show it back to you; store it locally and, if you are signed in, in your cloud records; send text to the configured AI provider to generate feedback; and investigate a report you submit. You are responsible for what you say in practice answers.

AI-generated content

Feedback is generated by a third-party model via our servers. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate. It is coaching only, not a certified language test; legal, medical, or career advice; proof of accent reduction or fluency; or a guarantee of interview or job outcomes. You may report a response with Flag this response. We review reports to improve safety. Reporting does not entitle you to a refund.

Licence to the App

The App, illustrations, bundled lesson text, and trademarks remain ours or our licensors’. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal learning.

Subscriptions, prices, and cancellation

SpeakReady Plus, when offered, is a recurring subscription billed through Google Play.

1. Available periods may include weekly, monthly, and annual plans depending on what is configured in Play Console and RevenueCat.
2. The price and billing period you see at checkout are the store’s localised price and terms. We do not invent prices in these Terms.
3. Plus is intended to include higher daily server-side AI limits and ad-free banners on Home, Learn, and Progress. Plus does not unlock a separate custom learning path, a private premium-only scenario catalogue, or a different AI model unless we later add that and update the paywall honestly.
4. Daily AI use remains capped even for Plus (the App does not promise unlimited AI).
5. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in Google Play (or the in-app subscription management screen when available).
6. Cancel according to Google Play’s rules before the next renewal if you do not want to be charged again.
7. Restore purchases after reinstall if Plus does not appear. Entitlements come from Google Play / RevenueCat, not from a local checkbox.
8. Refunds, if any, are handled under Google Play’s refund policy.
9. Deleting your SpeakReady account does not automatically cancel Play billing. Cancel the subscription in Google Play as well.

If store products are not configured, the paywall may show that offerings are unavailable. That is not a failed purchase.

Advertising

Free users may see AdMob banners on selected screens. Ads should not interrupt an active speaking or lesson question screen. Premium users with a verified entitlement should not see those banners. Consent dialogs may appear where required by law.

Third-party services

The Service may rely on:

• Supabase — authentication, database, Edge Functions
• OpenAI and/or Groq — AI text generation (server-side)
• Google Play Billing and RevenueCat — subscriptions
• Google Mobile Ads / UMP — advertising and consent
• Android speech recognition and text-to-speech

Those providers have their own terms. If they fail or change, parts of SpeakReady (especially cloud AI) may be unavailable. We are not responsible for outages we do not control, but we will try to show a clear error instead of fake AI feedback.

Availability and limits

We may apply daily free and Plus AI quotas, transcript length and history limits, and rate limits on reporting and AI requests. Guest users can continue bundled lessons when the network or account is unavailable. Cloud AI will not run without configuration and sign-in.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” for personal learning. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI feedback is correct or complete; that you will reach a language level or get a job; that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; or that pronunciation scores measure accent or phonemes (they measure transcript match). Some places do not allow certain disclaimers. In those places, this section applies only as far as the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us (through Google Play) for SpeakReady Plus in that period, or USD 10 if you paid nothing, unless a mandatory consumer law says otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited (for example, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where that cannot be excluded).

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your practice content, or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent a claim is caused by our own wilful misconduct.

Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we shut down the Service. After termination, sections that should survive (including licences you granted for past processing, disclaimers, and liability limits) remain in effect.

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. The new version applies from the Last updated date on this page. If a change is material, we will try to notify you in the App or Play listing notes. If you continue to use the Service after the change, you accept the new Terms, unless the law requires something else.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply. Courts in India have non-exclusive jurisdiction, unless a mandatory law gives you the right to sue where you live.

Consumer note (India and similar markets)

If you are a consumer, you may have non-waivable rights under local consumer-protection law (for example, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in India). These Terms do not take away rights that the law says you must keep.
